Tourism
St Antonin Noble-Val is where they filmed ‘Charlotte Grey’ and is one of the prettiest villages in the area. It sits on the banks of the Aveyron River. Drive to the top of the gorge for amazing views. The river itself is pretty and offers fishing, swimming and canoe trips.. There are several cafes and restaurants where English is spoken.
Caylus is the another nearby village and has a lovely market square. You can walk through the village to the little chateaux (not open to the public). The village also has a lake with children’s swimming pool and café. There is a range of shops, several cafés, a couple of restaurants and a hotel.
Najac is a classic hill top village, is just too picturesque to describe and needs to be seen. If you do visit make the effort to climb to the château.
Cordes-sur-Ciel is a bit further away but well worth the drive. It is a medieval town on a hill and packed with artisan shops, galleries and places to eat. The panoramic views of the surrounding area are outstanding.
Varen is good for swimming in the river and it is very close to ‘The Varen Moulin’ restaurant. which is extremely good.

    Markets
During your visit to the Parisot Art Festival why not make a visit to the vibrant markets that are found throughout the area. There are a number of markets within easy reach of Parisot; that sell a wide range of local and regional produces, including cheeses, pates, fresh fruits and vegetables.
Villefranche-de-Rouergue is near and it has a regional market on Thursdays. This is very large and offers local produce and artifacts in the town centre. Finding a parking place is part of the fun!
St.Antonin Noble-Val has a market on Sundays which is one of the nicest in the area. Additionally, there are a number of galleries and boutiques to browse.
When shopping is done sit in the old market square for coffee and watch the world go by.
Caussade has a large market on Mondays. The food section which winds through the old lanes captures the essence of market day.
Limogne also has an excellent Sunday market.   A little smaller and  less 'touristy' than St. Antonin.
There are specialist markets; pottery and antiques, especially in the summer – lookout for leaflets left on cars.
Look out for vide-greniers, (car boot sales), and brocantes, (antiques).
Other towns and villages worth a day out:
Figeac; Albi; Cahors; Toulouse; Carcassonne, (a bit far from Parisot but this is an amazing town to visit and was used for the film ‘Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves’ -Well worth the drive); Rodez; Penne; Auvillar; Bruniquel; Montauban; St-Cirq Lapopie; Conque; The Millau Bridge; Sauveterre de Rouergue
